Arrival at Leh Airport in the morning and transfer to the hotel. After welcome drink, take a complete rest for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (3,500 meters). In the late afternoon, drive to the city for an orientation walk in the markets, followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
After breakfast, drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh-Kargil Highway. Enroute visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and the Confluence of Indus and Zanskar River. Continue via Saspul to Likir Monastery and Ridzong Monastery. Further drive to Kargil via Lamayuru Monastery and mesmerising Moonland landscapes. Cross Fatu-La Pass (13,489 ft) and pay tribute at Vijay Smarak (Kargil War Memorial) in Drass before returning to Kargil hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Post breakfast, drive back to Leh enroute visiting Alchi Monastery, Ladakh's most loved monastery. Arrive in Leh and check in at hotel/ camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Post breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,390 Ft / 5,602 Mtrs), one of the world's highest motorable roads. Enjoy panoramic views of the Zanskar range and Saser massif. Upon arrival in Hunder, check in at camp/hotel. In the evening, walk around the tiny villages to observe local life. Dinner and overnight stay in Hunder.
After an early breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Turtuk (a village won by India in the 1971 war). Visit the 16th-century mosque with Turkish & Iranian heritage, ruined fort of Dhards, and local monastery while admiring views of the K2 peak. Return to hotel/camp in Hunder for dinner and overnight stay.
Optionally enjoy a double-humped Bacterian camel ride in the Hunder sand dunes. Visit Diskit town and stroll through the local bazaar. Later, drive towards Pangong Tso via Agham & Shyok Valley. Arrive at Pangong Lake (14,000 Ft) passing through Changthang villages. Check in at camp/hotel near the lake for dinner and overnight stay.
Morning at leisure to explore the stunning colors of Pangong Lake. Later, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass (5,486 Mtrs). Enroute visit Hemis Gompa, Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace, and 3 Idiots Rancho School. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
Tour concludes. Punctual transfer to Leh Domestic Airport to catch your flight for onward destination.
